Experience
Sept. 2020
Humber College: Advising & Career Services
Digital Media Advisor
Working with Advising & Career Services was a challenge with all the changes due to pandemic. I created interactive videos in place of events typically held in person, like the Fall and Spring Virtual Open House. I managed social media outlets for the college and advised students on career and classroom best practices. This position enhanced my self-governance and my ability to work remotely in a non-traditional work environment.
Summer 2019
Toronto Region Board of Trade
Marketing & Membership Intern
Working with marketing my primary efforts were geared toward the launch of a new scale-up growth program. Through market research and identification of key success factors I was able to support the team with new and innovative ideas to distinguish ourselves from competitors. My role in communications involved managing social media outlets and creating the Canadian Global Cities Council national communications plan.
Summer 2018
First National Financial LP
Internal Sales Administrator
This corporate environment enhanced my skills in organization, time management, and database software. Responsible for the implementation of mortgage rates, mailing documents, and receiving mortgage agreements my administrative capabilities were heavily expanded upon.
2017-2019
School of Media Studies - Humber College
Public Relations Coordinator
This college subsidiary allows students workers to be the catalysts for success amongst their peers. Our team builds relationships with companies interested in providing students with program-cumulative projects coupled with incentives like jobs, internships and monetary compensation.
Summer 2017
Toronto Sports Council
Marketing Officer
As a grassroots organization for sports in Toronto I had the opportunity to interview aspiring professional athletes, create press releases and report on marquee sporting events such as The Canadian Sports Film Festival (CSFF) and The North American Indigenous Games (NAIG).
2017- 2020
Humber Athletics
Gym Supervisor & Community Engagement
My position with Athletics allows me to engage in my greatest hobbies of health & fitness on a community level. I am fortunate enough to be able to help, inform, and interact with other like-minded individuals in this shared positive environment of students and the public.
2007-2013
Royal Canadian Army Cadets
Master Warrant Officer (MWO)
After 7 years of the Army Cadet program I have achieved accomplishments such as: a 6-week Rocky Mountain Exchange, a 5-week British Armed Forces Exchange, and the promotion to MWO responsible for 200+ cadets.
